Let’s talk bruising and swelling really quick:
💉Swelling happens almost immediately post injection and will typically worsen over the next 24 hours
💉The next day when you wake up after lip injections the side and shape of your lips may worry you—don’t be worried! Grab the ice pack, grab the arnica, and keep hydrated! Your lips will likely swell unevenly, especially if one side bruised up more than the other, this is totally normal.
💉Swelling lasts 3-4 days and the filler takes up to 2-4 weeks to fully settle into place! Everyone heals differently!
💉Bruising happens to most, especially if you’re prone to it, and can last 4-7 days
💉You can treat bruising like you would swelling—ice & arnica!
💉If you need to hide any bruising, you can definitely do so with makeup AFTER 24 hours, or at the very least after 8 hours
